    About Us : PastryStar is located in Laurel, MD. Since 1986, the company has been manufacturing high quality, clean-label bakery ingredients (such as powder mixes, baking fruit jams, and fillings). Our core customers are industrial bakeries, in-store bakeries, and cruise lines.

    Job Summary

    We are looking for an experienced and dependable Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing a wide variety of products while maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and safety.

    You will play a key role in ensuring all warehouse activities run smoothly and meet productivity targets.

    Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily warehouse operations in accordance with company policies and goals
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance activities
  • Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout
  • Enforce operational procedures and safety standards
  • Ensure compliance with shipping and handling regulations
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory using warehouse software
  • Schedule and assign daily tasks to staff
  • Train and Manage warehouse employees
  • Prepare regular reports (e.g., inbound / outbound, dead stock)
  • Ensure health, hygiene, and security standards are met
  • Gather feedback and monitor service quality
  • Capable of lifting and transporting items weighing 60 pounds or more.

    • Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a warehouse supervisor (required)
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to lead process improvements
  • Familiarity with warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Experience with warehouse management systems and databases
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BS in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience

    • Job Type : Full-time

    Pay : $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

    Expected hours : 40 per week
