About Us : PastryStar is located in Laurel, MD. Since 1986, the company has been manufacturing high quality, clean-label bakery ingredients (such as powder mixes, baking fruit jams, and fillings). Our core customers are industrial bakeries, in-store bakeries, and cruise lines.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dependable Warehouse Supervisor to lead our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing a wide variety of products while maintaining high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
You will play a key role in ensuring all warehouse activities run smoothly and meet productivity targets.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily warehouse operations in accordance with company policies and goalsOversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance activitiesDesign and maintain an efficient warehouse layoutEnforce operational procedures and safety standardsEnsure compliance with shipping and handling regulationsMonitor and reconcile inventory using warehouse softwareSchedule and assign daily tasks to staffTrain and Manage warehouse employeesPrepare regular reports (e.g., inbound / outbound, dead stock)Ensure health, hygiene, and security standards are metGather feedback and monitor service qualityCapable of lifting and transporting items weighing 60 pounds or more.Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a warehouse supervisor (required)Forklift certification (preferred)Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practicesProven ability to lead process improvementsFamiliarity with warehouse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Experience with warehouse management systems and databasesStrong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skillsBS in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent work experienceJob Type : Full-time
Pay : $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
