Senior Brand Manager
LaSalle Network has partnered with a growing retail chain in their search for a strategic and collaborative Senior Brand Manager to lead their Private Label portfolio overseeing a diverse range of owned brands that serve millions of shoppers every week. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how customers experience our grocery brands across categories, from pantry staples to premium offerings.
As Senior Brand Manager, you'll drive the strategy, positioning, and growth of private label brands. You'll oversee the full product lifecycle from consumer insight and innovation through packaging, pricing, and in-store execution ensuring our brands deliver exceptional value, quality, and differentiation.
The Day to Day :
- Develop and evolve the strategy for multiple owned brands across key grocery categories, defining their role, personality, and competitive positioning within the portfolio.
- Own P&L responsibility for select categories, monitoring sales, margin, and brand health metrics to guide decisions.
- Partner with sourcing, product development, and merchandising teams to identify trends, define innovation pipelines, and bring new private label products to market.
- Lead packaging design, visual identity, and brand storytelling to ensure consistent and compelling shelf presence.
- Use data from IRI, Circana, or Nielsen to uncover growth opportunities, inform pricing and promotion strategies, and track brand equity.
- Work closely with internal teams across merchandising, operations, marketing, and supply chain to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
- Recommend ways to strengthen brand perception, expand into new categories, and elevate private label performance against national brands.
What You Have :
7+ years of experience in brand management or marketing, ideally within grocery retail or CPGDemonstrated experience managing private label or owned brandsStrong understanding of category management, consumer insights, and retail marketingProficiency using RI / Circana / Nielsen or other syndicated data to drive decisionsProven record of developing and launching new products from concept through commercializationExperience overseeing creative development, packaging, and in-store marketingStrong business acumen and ability to manage P&L and portfolio-level decisionsExcellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skillsMBA preferred but not requiredThis position is a full-time, salaried role with a hybrid schedule in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Targeted compensation for the position is $145k+ bonus and includes a large benefits package inclusive of 401k, medical, dental, vision, PTO, and more.
