Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Freeport, IL. This position is a contract role for the upcoming school year, offering a chance to contribute to the educational success and well-being of diverse learners.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assist the IEP team in determining student eligibility for special services and resources.
• Select and administer appropriate assessment tools based on referral concerns to address individual student needs.
• Analyze and interpret evaluation results, writing clear and meaningful reports for IEP eligibility conferences.
• Evaluate student compatibility with their instructional environment, considering learning style, teaching methods, available resources, and peer interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and the School Social Worker to develop effective interventions for academic and behavioral challenges within formal support systems such as Student Assistance Teams.
• Participate actively in district-wide Response to Intervention (RtI) teams.
• Meet with parents prior to IEP meetings to discuss and review assessment findings.
