Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator

The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the paving equipment on a construction job site in a safe manner. The Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.

Primary Function : The Asphalt Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. Asphalt Paving Equipment Operators will work with GPS systems including Leica and Trimble. They must also complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks and maintenance, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines.
• Performing daily maintenance & safety checks.
• Cleaning equipment as required.
• Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.
• Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.
• Upholds acceptable attendance.
• Is a productive team member that supports the team by going and assisting where needed.

• Complies with all applicable safety, environment, health and waste management policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle a great deal of stress over long periods of time. Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Company Safety Policy.

Working Conditions

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a "Negative" result.

Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a "Capable" result.
