Job Title : Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

Promote safety and provide excellent customer service in all activities related to vehicle maintenance and repair. Assign work schedules and duties to shop staff to optimize manpower. Prepare repair orders in compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance, tire changes, and repairs on tractors, trailers, and tanks.
• Issue Purchase Order numbers for shop supplies and parts required for repairs and inventory management.
• Label and store parts on shelves in the Parts Room.
• Contact vendors for assistance during roadside breakdowns.
• Assist drivers with trailer preparation for loads and address issues arising during deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and non-hazardous shop environment.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the CSC Manager.

Work Environment

Work involves standing for extended periods on concrete floors and may include reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and lifting occasionally up to 100 pounds. Good dexterity, vision, hearing, and communication skills are essential.
