Security Officer - Access Control Patrol

As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a welcoming presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help prevent issues, and delivering outstanding customer service through clear communication. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $15.71 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Mon 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Tue 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Wed 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Thur 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Fri 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, tenants, and staff with inquiries and directions as needed.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during shifts.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Participate in emergency response activities as required, following established protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write fluent Spanish.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
