Base Pay Range

$70,000.00 / yr - $80,000.00 / yr

Location

Fully Onsite - Middleton, MA

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the entire Production Team, including work order entry and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure smooth material handoff to shipping.
  • Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of all products.
  • Oversee ERP system usage, including work order entry and BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
  • Design and implement efficient production steps and line configurations to enhance throughput.
  • Establish and maintain daily production schedules; provide completion dates to Sales and Customer Service.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and resources to meet or exceed production targets.
  • Monitor job times to accurately report production efficiency.
  • Enforce safety standards across the production facility.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to develop customized product solutions based on customer needs.
  • Manage inventory of key production components and submit requisitions as needed.
  • Partner with the Quality Manager to uphold quality standards and adjust production processes as necessary.
  • Scale production staffing based on current and projected workload.

  • Communication – Strong written and verbal skills; able to convey complex ideas across different levels in the organization and through SOPs and documentation.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensure each work order is completed accurately, on time, and meets quality standards.
  • Critical Thinking – Quickly respond to customization requests by developing and executing tailored production processes.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in production management, ideally within a related industry.
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, leadership, organization, and communication.
  • Solid understanding of LED lighting systems and electro-mechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with Syspro is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodology is a plus.
