About the Role

Thriving on adventure and building relationships? This 1099 Land Agent position with our Land Solutions team offers an opportunity to travel across the US, connect with landowners, and play a pivotal role in securing land for crucial projects. Youll serve as the essential bridge between Atwell and field activities, handling landowner relations, negotiations, acquisitions, and claims settlements.

Responsibilities

Travel extensively (90%+) to project sites across the US, potentially staying for multiple weeks at a time.

Maintain and build strong relationships with landowners, ensuring theyre well-informed and involved throughout the process.

Negotiate and execute options, leases, and / or easement agreements with accuracy and efficiency.

Develop and implement right-of-way strategies with minimal supervision.

Provide regular updates on project progress to the Land Solutions Manager.

Demonstrate a deep understanding of the industry, client goals, and relevant legal and regulatory aspects.

Utilize Atwells tools and technology to manage projects and ensure smooth communication.

Perform research, qualify parcel ownership, and overcome landowner objections effectively.

Ensure all agreements are executed flawlessly with accurate documentation.

Maintain clear and proactive communication with the Atwell team.

Qualifications

Active LLC required for independent contractor status.

Bachelors degree or relevant work experience preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects, or related fields like residential, commercial, telecommunications, or oil & gas.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency in overcoming objections and navigating complex situations.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Flexible and adaptable to changing work schedules and remote locations.

Pay range and compensation package

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not eligible for benefits.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policy.

Location listed as Southfield, MI, but projects are nationwide.
