Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

What you will do : As a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in automation, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automated systems across our production lines. Your work will directly impact equipment safety, product quality, throughput, and reliability, driving continuous improvement throughout our Holland, Michigan, facility. How will you do it Design, install, and integrate automation solutions for plant machinery and equipment Lead equipment modifications and enhancements to improve performance and compatibility Develop business case documentation to support automation initiatives Coordinate maintenance and repair services, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines Implement process improvements focused on safety, ergonomics, quality, and productivity Apply structured problem-solving tools such as A3, KT, and DMAIC (Six Sigma) Collaborate with plant operations to monitor project progress and identify future opportunities Analyze trends and present reports to support data-driven decision-making What we look forRequiredBachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with data analysis capabilitiesFamiliarity with manufacturing process improvement methodologiesPreferredProficiency in PLC programming and ladder logicExperience with robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnosticsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Excel, and MinitabWhat we do here : Meadowbrook - Lithium Ion Our Meadowbrook, Michigan, plant produces lithium-ion batteries and runs a research lab.
