About the Role
As an Associate in the Placements team within Private Capital Advisory, you will be instrumental in supporting clients through private capital raises, including equity and debt placements across venture, growth, and private equity stages. You'll work with founders, management teams, and financial sponsors to structure and execute bespoke capital solutions, leveraging deep investor relationships and market insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Capital Raise Execution : Lead and support execution of private placement transactions, including growth equity, venture capital, structured equity, and private debt.
- Client Engagement : Collaborate with clients to understand capital needs, develop tailored fundraising strategies, and prepare investor materials.
- Investor Outreach : Identify and engage with relevant institutional investors, family offices, and strategic partners; manage outreach and follow-up processes.
- Marketing Materials : Draft and refine pitch decks, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), and other investor-facing documents.
- Financial Analysis : Build and review financial models to support valuation, scenario analysis, and deal structuring.
- Process Management : Coordinate due diligence, data room management, and transaction timelines across stakeholders.
- Market Intelligence : Monitor private capital market trends, investor appetite, and comparable transactions to inform strategy and positioning.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private capital advisory, or capital markets, ideally with exposure to private placements.Strong understanding of private market fundraising dynamics and investor landscape.Excellent analytical, modeling, and presentation skills.Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills
Experience with growth-stage or sponsor-backed capital raises.Familiarity with investor networks across venture capital, growth equity, private equity, and private credit.Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., PitchBook, Preqin, Capital IQ).Seniority level
