PQR Inside Sales Engineer role at National Power
In this role, you will provide technical assistance, including configuration and quoting of UPS and related equipment and services for mission-critical applications. You will work in close coordination with the broader sales team to ensure excellent customer support.
This early-career position offers potential advancement to more senior sales roles.
Responsibilities
- Manage to incoming calls and emails from technically knowledgeable customers regarding formal and informal inquiries about UPS solutions
- Collaborate with Outside Sales / Account Managers and Order Management specialists to provide superior continuity of support and service
- Provide technical expertise on products and services for data center and mission-critical power applications, primarily uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
- Be an expert on major OEM UPS products
- Review project inquiries and create sales quotes using Business Central (BC), Eaton Bid Manager, and other internal or vendor-supplied tools
- Manage workflow, opportunities, and activity documentation in our ERP system, D365 CRM in conjunction with Account Managers
- Assist with UPS system and battery charging to maintain physical inventory integrity in the Raleigh, NC warehouse
- Support inventory management and operational tasks as needed
- Coordinate non-concurrent service sales lead distribution processes
Qualifications
BS or AAS degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent work experienceFive or more years of technical / applications engineering experience in the electrical equipment industry (power quality, generation, or distribution), with a strong preference for UPS experienceAn understanding of various UPS applications and OEM product linesHands-on experience with electrical systems, particularly UPS or other power quality equipmentStrong customer focus with customer-facing experience requiredSolid English communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel and WordStrong organizational and communication abilitiesAbility to read and interpret technical specifications and electrical one-line drawings to create solution proposalsBenefits
