Position Summary :
The Community Engagement Coordinator leads efforts to connect immigrant and refugee community members with the Immigrant Family Resource Program (IFRP) and other essential health and human services. This position focuses on building trust and strengthening community engagement to ensure individuals and families have access to accurate information on available services, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct targeted outreach to inform immigrant and refugee community members about IFRP services.
- Disseminate clear and culturally appropriate information about health and human services, including eligibility and enrollment procedures.
- Cultivate relationships with community leaders, partner organizations, and volunteers to expand outreach efforts and foster trust.
- Encourage and support volunteer participation to strengthen community leadership and involvement.
- Organize and participate in community events, presentations, and workshops to increase awareness of services.
- Gather feedback from the community to help improve outreach strategies and address emerging needs.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, community contacts, and participation metrics.
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Associate DegreeExperience working in immigrant and / or refugee communities preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport across diverse cultural groups.Knowledge of local health and human services resources and eligibility processes is a plus.Ability to engage and motivate volunteers and community members.Bilingual or multilingual skills required.Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends for community events.Work Environment :
This position involves frequent interaction with the public at community locations, events, and partner sites.
