The opportunity
Southern New Hampshire University is seeking a student employee to fill the role of Communication and Office Assistant for our partner organization Make-A-Wish New Hampshire, in Manchester, NH. This student will support the Make-A-Wish New Hampshire staff team with marketing materials, wish logistics, planning for fundraisers & events, and managing donations.
Job Responsibilities :
- Assist with developing marketing materials and wish stories. This includes social media, press releases, wish stories, volunteer newsletter, event flyers (as needed), medical outreach brochure and website content (ongoing)
- Manage daily mail log donations
- Create, proofread and edit marketing materials, including Wish It Forward Alumni Program collateral
- Assist with managing social media platforms including drafting and scheduling postings
- Using Meta Business Suite - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn : share about partnerships, upcoming events, current wish stories, promote Breakfast for Wishes campaign
- Work with the Wish Team to identify upcoming wishes for media coverage
- Collaborate with Program Team to curate a full wish story displaying the various volunteer and community roles that come together to grant magical wishes
- Write press releases and media alerts, including : Breakfast for Wishes Press Release & Subaru Share The Love Campaign Press Release
- Answer phones and make calls. This may be to donors, wish families, medical professionals, etc.
- Help to obtain wish photos and feedback from families to use in communications materials
- Responsible for introducing Wish-It-Forward Alumni Program and materials
- Other writing and research projects as assigned

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
