Job Summary :
This Sr. Manufacturing Engineer position focus on DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) engineering and is responsible for reviewing the new and existing product design from raw material, PCB, PCBA, chassis, server and server rack integration to ensure not only to meet the industrial and company standards but also the best optimization. The position will require skill sets to break down complex products with mechanical concept and provide project management support, team member training and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Review and facilitate the early-stage design and products, work with all cross functional teams to make the manufacturing and assembly process more robust, less cost and more smoothness in mass production manufacturing environment.
Daily routine responsibility includes but not limited to following areas;
Transport, disassemble, assemble, diagnose and analyze the products for design excellence (correction, enhancement and improvement)
Search for MRP, BOM, ECO / ECN, part specs, design documents, assembly instructions, test reports, production assembly record, quality data, RMA data, ISO documents, industrial standards, etc.
Work with teammates totake product photos, generate formal DFMA report and post finding items on intranet
Maintain all DFMA record in system and follow up findings with other related teams for solution and closure, work with IT to optimize DFMA database
Generate 8D report, deep understanding of root cause analysis and tools used such as fish bone diagram, Pareto chart, 5 whys, FMEA
Cross train and mentor team members
Qualifications :
BS / MS in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering; MS degree is preferred
8+ years of relevant work experiences in manufacturing or mechanical assembly at PCBA, server and rack levels
Influent with MS Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of PCB / PCBA, Creo CAD, Allegro, Valor is desirable
Established capability in reducing defects and improving process such as 6 Sigma, SPC and DOE
Ability to work with a team as well as independently
Excellent communication skill and technical expertise
Contract manufacturing experience, additional certificates and licensesare considered a plus
Active / proactive learner aligns to the latest new technology

The physical demands and work conditions described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job :
Able to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry items.
Perform tasks that require standing and walking for long periods up to entire shift.
Lift, carry, push and pull in an excess of 25lb and up to 40lbs. Able to utilize a "buddy system" for moving objects more than 50 lbs.
(For applicable positions : Must be able to operate pallet jack and forklift efficiently and safely.)
Must be able to wear safety shoes, earmuffs or other required PPE as needed.
Primarily works indoors with controlled climate conditions.
Salary Range
$90,000 - $153,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
