job_description.job_card.job_descriptionDrive firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. Assist in defining CPU Performance Management solutions for future Qualcomm CPUs. Engage with open source communities to support processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features. Identify skill requirements and collaborate on hiring engineers, platform bring-up / debug / diagnostics, and firmware lifecycle management. BS / MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8-12 years of embedded firmware development experience. Skilled in DVFS, DCVS, SCMI, CPPC. Proactive self-starter with technical leadership qualities. Proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly language. Driver development experience in RTOS or OS Kernel environments. Experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC / OS, or FreeRTOS. Experience developing for pre-silicon environments, including simulators and FPGA emulation. Experience in developing, characterizing, and tuning performance management solutions on SoC subsystems is a plus. Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture; ARMV8 platform development experience is a plus. Frequent movement between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile. Ability to transport equipment up to 5 lbs. Perform tasks at various heights, standing or sitting. Use computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours daily. Effective communication with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- OR Master's degree in the same fields with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD in the same fields with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Additionally, 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
