Cleveland Engine Plant is looking for a Plant Labor Coordinator to be responsible for all hourly employee transactions, Unemployment and SUB administration, onboarding, wage administration and all things to support effective and efficient hourly personnel operations within the plant.
The Plant Labor Coordinator will be a self-driven member of the team that has laser focus on accurate data and auditing, a drive for continuous improvement and a passion for customer service.
What You'll Be Able To Do :
Responsible for all aspects of hourly employee administration on assigned crew / shift
Administers personnel transactions, as well as personnel systems support to U.S. plant-based HR teams
Deliver HR products and services, in accordance with applicable employment laws, regulatory agencies, regulations, policies, and practices
Lead the recruiting and hiring of hourly employees- From physical scheduling to onboarding
Build strong relationships with operations partners, Union representatives, HR colleagues and other business partners to jointly deliver business objectives and resolve issues
Support HR efforts related to investigations, governmental inquiries / charges, grievance resolution, performance and absence management, complaints of unfair employment practices / discrimination, and disciplinary action
Must have strong customer service to handle walk in, phone, and email inquiries
Work closely with Unemployment Office
Support and help prepare responses to grievances
Foster an effective, inclusive work environment / culture and relationships, balancing employee advocacy with stewardship of company goals and values
Handle Bereavements, Jury Duty, and FMLA
Handle attendance related disciplines
Ability to work all shifts, rotating shifts or weekends
You'll have...
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1+ years of Human Resources experience.
Even better, you may have...
Bachelor's Degree
Strong communications, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strong computer skills and applications (HCM, HRIMS, WF1, Excel)
Organization skills and ability to multi-task
Experience in Labor Relations in a manufacturing environment (unionized is preferred) with demonstrated negotiations and conflict resolution capability.
