Senior Litigation Paralegal

We are experiencing significant growth and require the assistance of a Senior Litigation Paralegal to fill a need in our Litigation Department in our New York, NY office.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to :

• Calendar meetings, court appearances, depositions, deadlines Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court staff and other third parties as necessary E-filing for state and federal courts Oversee service of process Act as liaison between Litigation Department head and department associates Act as liaison between Litigation Department head and attorneys in other practice areas within firm Assist with legal research Draft legal documents Handle discovery demands and responses General administrative duties; filing and scanning; assemble litigation papers; maintain matter files In-person attendance to courthouses as necessary Required : Formal training and study as a paralegal ideal, minimum of 5 years experience.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• This position is fulltime in office Mon-Fri.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
• Experience with e-filing and in person filings; both state and federal.
• Must be familiar with court house procedures.
• Ability to problem-solve procedural and calendaring problems.
• Experience with Clio a plus.
