Part Time - Sanitation Technician

JOB OVERVIEW :

Under general supervision, the Sanitation Generalist I engages in sanitation related functions ensuring the cleanliness of production and office areas. Supports plant quality assurance initiatives and understands / adheres to Blue Diamond HACCP processes, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs) and safety practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Follows established schedules and standard operating procedures for cleaning and / or sanitizing of assigned areas which includes :

• Proper chemical usage
• Usage of cleaning utensils and equipment (vacuums, brooms, mops, steam cleaners, air hose, rakes, etc) to accomplish assigned tasks
• Utilizing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Operating golf carts to properly reach each department throughout the site
• Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and established safety practices

Other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by department or team lead.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and / or ladders.
