Legal Secretary II
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Legal Secretary II. This position assists the District Attorney's office by maintaining the court docket and case files, processing legal documents, performing financial duties, and monitoring bond and asset forfeitures. Provides administrative support by preparing statistical reports, assisting clients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, typing documents, providing information to other agencies and the general public, updating and maintaining files and databases, and preparing jury and punishment charges. Performs related duties as required.
Candidates must have at least six months of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency and at least one year of related experience. Must be able to pass a typing test at a rate of 50 words per minute or better. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Class C Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Testing Requirements
This position requires that you pass a typing test at the minimum rate specified above.
Typing tests are administered in the Human Resources Testing room from 8 : 30am - 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday. You do not need an appointment to test, but you will need to bring a government issued photo ID. If you have any questions regarding the testing, please feel free to call 972-548-4606.
