Job Description

Position Title : Equipment Qualification Engineer - Electrical / I&C

Position Description : Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for an Equipment Qualification Engineer - Electrical / I&C.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the successful design and implementation of the equipment qualification program.
  • Coordinate with design personnel to ensure new designs and design changes meet Equipment Qualification Program regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain licensing documentation in compliance with Equipment Qualification Programs, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Interface with technical discipline teams at the company, partners, and contractors.
  • Prepare and review technical materials such as test requirement documents and specifications.
  • Review correspondence with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
  • Assist with safety analysis report (SAR) revisions and preparation.
  • Prepare or review equipment qualification regulatory evaluations.

Job Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of applicable experience in equipment qualification development and implementation.
  • Ability to contribute to the entire equipment qualification process from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of IEEE Standards such as IEEE-323, 344, and 420 7-4.3.2.
  • Experience or familiarity with NEI 18-04, Regulatory Guide 1.233, and related regulatory guides.
  • Experience with vendor test facilities.
  • Awareness of trends and activities in the nuclear industry related to equipment qualification.
  • Adherence to strict quality assurance standards.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Professional.
  • Experience interacting with NRC staff.
  • Project management experience and familiarity with project management tools.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High trust, integrity, openness in communication, respect, and teamwork orientation.
  • Position level and title will be determined based on qualifications.

  • Type : Contract
  • Location : Bellevue, WA (Onsite)
  • Pay Range : $63-$80 / hr
  • Export regulations require candidates to be U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, or protected persons.
