Security Officer - Logistics Screener

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in McDonough, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, being a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeSat02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMSun02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
  • Conduct screening of individuals, vehicles, and / or packages entering or exiting the location to help to deter prohibited items or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel as required.
  • Perform regular and random patrols in and around the logistics and distribution location, monitoring for irregularities or security-related concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports for management review.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and vendors while upholding the standards of Allied Universal.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions as provided by Allied Universal and the location management team.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
