Automotive Accounting Clerk

Job Summary :
A General Accounting Clerk is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
Responsibilities :
- Communicate and work closely with the office manager / Accounting Manager / Controller daily.
- Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
- Post internals and other accounting entries as directed by office manager.
- Calculate Dealer Trades.
- Reconcile statements and the ledger making sure that payments are consistent with dealership schedules.
- Reconcile schedules as assigned.
- Provide title clerk with information on all purchased vehicles for title list.
- Reconciles bank balances on a daily basis.
- Assist in monthly closings.
- Assist with accounts receivable, payable and special projects, as necessary.
- Reconcile and deposit service and parts receipts, including charge cards, on a daily basis.
- Prepare accounting statements monthly as directed.
- Fill in for other administrative positions as needed and directed by management and assists with related special projects as required.
- Cross-train others for this position as directed by management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Qualifications :
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent requiredMust have experience within an automotive dealership office (automotive billing, registering vehicles, automotive titles, etc.)Understanding of basic document editing in WORD, EXCEL, ADOBE.Strong mathematical and analytical skills.About us
