About The Position

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of previous Stepdown experience required. At least 1 travel contract completed.

License : Iowa State License Required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Description :

This position offers same-day interviews.

Qualified candidates should prepare to receive a call from a designated area code.

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients.

The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

The traveler must be more than 50 miles from the market.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1 : 5.

Patient population includes CHF, cardiac angiogram before and after care, ablation, pacemaker, TEE, cardioversion, stroke management, and administration of cardiac drips.

Drips include Nitro, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nifedipine, Heparin, and Lidocaine, with titration required.

Holidays : Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year, or Thanksgiving).

There is a limit of 1 day request off between certain specified dates for all travelers regardless of holidays worked.
