Job Description

Ares recently created the Fund & Investor Data Group which is responsible for a variety of firmwide datasets including investor financial data and fund static and financial data. This position will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the firm wide investor financial data. This team works with all Fund Accounting teams, Investor Services, Information Technology and third-party fund administrators to help ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness of the investor financial data. The team will also work with various investor facing functions across Ares, such as Investor Relations, Relationship Management, Strategic Partnerships, and Compliance, to build out new reporting dashboards and also act as a central point of contact for any questions these teams may have related to the dataset. A candidate who has experience with fund structures, accounting systems, and working with various datasets is preferred. The primary responsibilities for this role include :

• Data Governance : Oversee the centralized storage and management of investor financial data, ensuring data quality and completeness.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Expand a dynamic, collaborative cross strategy Investor Financial Data Governance team and work closely with various stakeholders, including IT, IR, Fund Accounting and compliance teams, to support data-related inquiries and reporting requirements.
• Data Integration : Partner with Fund Accounting teams to standardize data fields and integrate new data sources into the Investor Financial database.
• Data Monitoring : Maintain control dashboards, monitor data integrity, and resolve data issues with fund accounting and fund administrators.
• Reporting : Develop and enhance reporting outputs, including investor financial data reports and analytical dashboards.
• Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data governance and reporting efficiency.
• Dataset SME : Collaborate on various projects as an SME where Investor Data is a key input (e.g., Anaplan, AresIQ, Treasury)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.

$125,000 - $150,000
