Laboratory Administrative Assistant

EMSL is seeking a Laboratoy Administrative Assistant in San Leandro, CA. This is an administrative support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee the shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.

Responsibilities

• Receive environmental samples and enter Chain of Custody into LIMS system
• Review paperwork for all incoming samples to ensure completeness and correctness
• Quality control of samples to ensure sample integrity
• Transfer samples based on priority to appropriate custody locations
• Coordinate and perform sample-related activities, including shipping and receiving, processing and administration
• Generate reports, invoices, and enter data produced by analysts into the computer system for the production of the final, client ready report
• Ensure the final report is prepared and that the results are reported to the client in a timely manner
• Assist with internal and external client questions via phone, e-mail, and in person
• Act as a liaison between clients and laboratory staff
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager

Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.
