Security Officer - Unarmed Chemical Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Chemical Site Patrol in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence, and interact professionally with site personnel and visitors. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for monitoring multiple areas throughout the property. Pay Rate : $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeWed06 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AM Thur06 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
  • Report any irregularities, hazards, or unusual occurrences promptly to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with fellow team members, site staff, and visitors as needed.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures relevant to chemical and petrochemical locations.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in primarily driving posts.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
