JOB SUMMARY : The Resident Manager is a very important on-site caretaker of our stately Los Angeles Buildings and key customer service lead for our residents. This role is required to live onsite, and to be regularly available to respond to resident needs and emergencies. To succeed in the role, the candidate must be self-motivated, organized, value communication, and have the ability to learn quickly. Our ideal candidate is someone with a positive and professional attitude who enjoys working with people of diverse backgrounds, who has property management experience, and has a calm and helpful disposition
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily inspections of the property and its grounds.
Perform light maintenance and cleaning.
Ensure the property operates in accordance with set policies and procedures.
Act as a liaison between the Property Manager and the residents.
Receive maintenance requests from residents, verify the work needed, engage and coordinate with vendors.
Monitor work to ensure maintenance items are completed timely and professionally.
Schedule, coordinate, and monitor all move-ins and move-outs of the designated property.
Enforce all rules, policies, and procedures relating to the property.
Provide access to the property promptly and professionally.
Frequently communicate with the Regional Property Manager regarding the status of the building ensure Property Management is engaged immediately in the event emergency services are contacted.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
A sense of urgency to resolve issues very quickly.
Strong phone and written / text communication skills.
Proficient using computer or App based Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook & Word primarily)
Possess a strong sense of ownership, detail oriented and results driven.
Ability to prioritize.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS :
Ability to receive calls from residents and vendors via cell phone.
Ability to attend onsite training several times a year.
Real Estate License a plus but not required.
Experience with rent control a plus but not required.
Familiarity with Los Angeles neighborhoods preferred but not required.
COMPENSATION :
Commensurate with building size and complexity - includes partial to full rent credit, overtime paid based upon minimum wage
