Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant with focus on fixed assets to join our growing accounting team.In this role, you will report directly to a Manager, Fixed Assets. You will support the implementation of processes, policies, and procedures ensuring the accuracy of Fixed Assets accounting and reporting, including our state-of-the-art multi-billion-dollar fiber network. You will play a major part in the financial month-end closing and reporting process by assisting the management of fixed assets and related work in construction journal entries for the company. You will partner with key business stakeholders and business finance partners to provide accounting guidance for all functional areas and to ensure adherence to applicable guidance, policies, and processes.

As Senior Accountant, your duties and responsibilities will include :

• Reviewing, analyzingand processing all capital asset additions, disposals, capital asset transfer requests and other asset transactions
• Maintaining and closingAsset Management SAP subledger and monitor aging balances for assets under construction
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly / quarterly / annual Fixed Assets reports
• Analyzingand documenting income statement and balance sheet fluctuations monthly
• Preparingvarious balance sheet account reconciliations ensuring proper supporting documentation including monthly reconciliation of fixed asset subledger to general ledger balances
• Performing the internal processes for the calculation, allocation and recording of capitalized labor and capitalized interest
• Reviewing and enhancinganalysis and analytical processes and controls
• Providingsupport for internal management reporting, external GAAP reporting, and external audit activities as necessary
• Ensuringeffective working relationships with key business partners
• Performing special projects and any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned
