ADMITTING COORD-PATIENT ACCESS

Overview

Greets and receives patients in professional and courteous manner. Obtains and processes patient demographic and financial information needed to ensure quality patient care and appropriate reimbursement in an accurate and timely manner. Verifies insurance eligibility for all patients and obtains all necessary signatures and all regulatory documents.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (

• Registers / pre-registers patients verifying and updating all information, obtaining all necessary signatures and issues all regulatory documents.
• Calculates / communicates & collects anticipated out of pocket expense.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and medical necessity accurately and timely.
• Follows up on all accounts with incomplete information for resolution on work questions accurately and timely.
• Transports / escorts patients.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
