Security Officer - Front Desk Patrols

As a Part-Time Security Officer in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at a dynamic location, providing a welcoming presence and assisting visitors and employees. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, responding to security-related incidents, and offering exceptional customer service.

Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $19.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeFri 04 : 00 PM - 12 : 00 AMSat 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PMSun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and / or credentials as required.
  • Maintain detailed logs and / or reports of daily activities and any unusual occurrences.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to address inquiries and / or concerns.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
