Security Professional - Government Front Desk Flex

As a Security Professional - Government Front Desk Flex in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing a welcoming presence while helping to deter security-related incidents. Your role will involve managing access control, verifying credentials, and utilizing computer or tablet systems to support daily operations. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. Pay Rate : $17.34 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeFri08 : 00 AM - 04 : 45 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Greet and assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors at the front desk in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate areas within the location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including following evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activity.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
