Overview
The Master Cook for Stubborn Seed will support the assistant chefs and work on varied stations within the kitchen. This position will support the kitchen team, conduct product inventories, and ensure preparation of all menu items, while maintaining the highest quality to meet outlet standards.
Primary Job Duties
- Evaluate cooked food before serving to guests to ensure the highest level of taste and presentation.
- Assist multiple stations with food prep, cooking and plating, when needed.
- Ensure sanitation procedures and organization of the work area adhere to all health code regulations and standards.
- Maintain food and supply inventory levels and notify management of restocking requirements.
- Perform job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
Ability to translate recipes into dishes.Excellent knife skills.Ability to effectively communicate in English.Ability to successfully lead and mentor a team.Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.Minimum Education And Experience
Must be 21 years of ageAt least 3 years of cooking experience in a full-service, fine dining restaurant.Preferred
Previous experience in a large, luxury resort setting.Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field or training.Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
