JOB SUMMARY : THIS ROLE WILL PREPARE HISTOLOGIC SAMPLES FOR EVALUATION IN A RESEARCH LABORATORY SETTING.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Not an Exhaustive List). Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Demonstrate proficiency in five or more technical areas
- Champions StageBio Mission, Vision, and Philosophy
- Act as mentor and provide technical support to Laboratory Technician I team members
- Provide training and guidance to team members engaging in new activities
- Perform all aspects of the histology process; working with all species of laboratory animals and occasionally with human tissue
- Review of protocols and study instructions
- Operate laboratory equipment necessary to support the histology process
- Understand and conduct all processes in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Prompt and accurate recording of data
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION :
High school diploma requiredCollege degree preferred or 3 years’ experience in histology / pathology labREQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Ability to learn multiple tasks within the field of histologyAbility and willingness to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentMust be capable of understanding FDA regulations, Good Laboratory Practices, and StageBio’s SOPsBe very detail-oriented with both routine lab tasks and paperworkBe an effective communicator both verbally and in writingAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentWORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
