Our successful dealership is looking for an Automotive General Sales Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and educating our sales department on best practices. This could include teaching the most effective ways to generate leads, provide thorough follow-up, and close deals. You will be responsible for hiring salespeople and providing leadership to ensure they meet their sales goals.
It is important that the sales team is held to the highest ethical standards, and we expect you to support those standards and practices. If you have a proven track record of leading a successful sales team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Recruit and hire salespeople for a variety of positionsEducate salespeople on the most effective ways to generate leads, provide thorough follow-up, and close dealsOversee the dealerships day-to-day activities, maintaining a high degree of employee moraleTrack prospective and existing customers using the companys preferred CRM from initial contact to closing the deal and beyondFoster high customer satisfaction with the car buying experience, encouraging referrals and repeat businessTrack car sales on a regular basis and forecast future salesQualifications
High school diploma or GED is required, a Bachelors degree is preferred.A minimum of five years of car dealership experience, with at least one year in a management role, is preferredValid drivers license requiredStrong working knowledge of the automotive industry and any local, state, or federal regulations that affect vehicle sales and / or the automotive industryProficient in Microsoft Office and other basic computer programsStrong leadership and interpersonal skills are required
