Drill Rig Operator – CZMEK125 / CZMLR75
About the Role
My client is seeking an experienced Drill Rig Operator to join their team. This position operates European-style rigs —specifically CZMEK125 and CZMLR75 —on a variety of foundation and geotechnical drilling projects .
Operators will handle setup, drilling operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced hydraulic and electronic systems while maintaining a strong focus on safety and production.
This is a union position. If you are not currently a member, you must be eligible and willing to join the union upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Operate CZMEK125 and CZMLR75 drill rigs safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-operation inspections and daily maintenance
- Perform drilling methods such as CFA, rotary, and DTH
- Install casings, anchors, micropiles, and other components
- Monitor torque, feed pressure, and penetration rate; adjust as needed
- Troubleshoot and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Maintain accurate drilling logs, reports, and safety records
- Collaborate with engineers, foremen, and site supervisors
- Adhere to all OSHA and company safety standards
Qualifications
2+ years of experience operating European-style drill rigs (CZMEK125 / CZMLR75 preferred)Solid understanding of foundation and geotechnical drilling methodsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret engineering plans and drilling specificationsValid driver’s license ( CDL preferred )Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditionsMust be union member or able and willing to join the unionPreferred Skills
Experience with micropiles, ground anchors, and deep foundationsFamiliarity with European hydraulic systems and rig control panelsCurrent certifications : OSHA-10 / 30, First Aid, CPRStrong teamwork and communication skillsWhy Work With Us
