job_description.job_card.job_descriptionConducts I&C initial and continuing training. Develops instructional materials and conducts training for I&C Maintenance technicians. An incumbent for this position should have in-depth knowledge of instructional design theory (SAT / TSD). This level is also responsible for maintaining training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements. Ensures accredited I&C Maintenance training program and instructional materials are maintained current by incorporating plant changes. Maintains knowledge of plant operational conditions to support the analysis, design, and development of high-quality training materials. Conducts trainee evaluations in various training settings (classroom, laboratory, OJT, etc.,). Supports station business initiatives, refueling outages, Emergency Planning (EP) duties, and other projects. The I&C Maintenance instructor is also required to participate in instructional continuing training. Must participate in management assessments. Ensures training records are complete, accurate and auditable. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, engineering or related technical degree or equivalent work experience. 4+ years of I&C maintenance related experience (commercial or military). Technical proficiency in the assigned area. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
