Eliza Jennings, a not-for-profit organization and recognized leader in Greater Cleveland for providing long-term care and community-based services to older adults, is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant.

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employee relations matters.
• Assist and provide administrative support to senior HR leadership in carrying out department-wide initiatives.
• Maintain and organize all employment applications and supporting documentation for individuals eligible to work in the facility, including resumes, reference checks, and background screenings.
• Manage and ensure compliance of the personnel filing system in accordance with company standards and applicable employment regulations.
• Coordinate building-level recruitment efforts for key frontline and support positions, including posting openings, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting initial interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions with department leaders.
• Complete all pre-employment screenings and conduct thorough new hire orientations.
• Coordinate and distribute onboarding materials; ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained within the HRIS system.
• Support employee engagement and retention efforts, including developing recognition programs and coordinating employee appreciation events.
• Provide administrative support related to union matters and activities.
• Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating staff meetings, trainings, and educational sessions.
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, department leaders, and HR leadership to advance the organization’s Mission and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
