Production Manager (Finance)

SUMMARY The Production Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient and scalable production. This role emphasizes workforce development, capacity planning, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a people-first leader who builds strong teams, drives continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with company goals for safety, quality, and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Develop and execute capacity plans to meet current and future demand, balancing labor, equipment and material resources.
• Foster a culture of safety and accountability by ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and promoting proactive risk mitigation.
• Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and structured development plans.
• Partner with HR and senior leadership to identify and develop high-potential talent, creating a strong internal pipeline for future leadership roles.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service to ensure smooth production flow and timely issue resolution.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, labor utilization, and throughput; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving workflow, and enhancing team engagement.
• Lead structured problem-solving efforts to address production challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support onboarding and training programs to ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed.
• Champion employee engagement through regular feedback, recognition, and open communication.
• Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.

Physical Demands

As part of the job, the employee sits for lengthy periods while operating a computer, uses hands to type and handle objects, and may stand, walk, and reach regularly. Lifting up to 20 pounds may be required. The role includes requirements to lift, carry, push, pull, reach overhead, and keyboarding. Reasonable accommodation will be provided as needed.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to hazards such as chemicals, heat, dust, or noise. Teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

ANSI / ASTM-compliant safety footwear, clear ANSI Z87.1 safety glasses where required, hearing protection where needed, and adherence to JSA requirements in specific areas.

Export Compliance

This position includes access to ITAR and EAR technical data. Candidates must qualify as US Persons (U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents).

Travel

Approximately 20% travel is expected, both international and domestic.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range : approximately $110,000 – $140,000 annually. Offers consider responsibilities, experience, education, skills, internal pay equity, and market conditions. Bonuses, merit increases, and other rewards are discretionary.
