Production Support / Material Handler

The Production Support (Fabrication) role hourly rate is based on your experience and skill and ranges from $21 - $25 / hour. This role has a $500 sign-on bonus!

POSITION SUMMARY :

Reporting to the Department Team Leader, this position maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies and staging finished product.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Verify, match, count, and kit material per customer drawings and specifications.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock, recording inventory location.
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying parts required for work orders and delivers materials to the designated work areas.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Report any discrepancies to team leader.
• Material handling duties and minor general maintenance.
• Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditionssuch as : dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures. Potential exposure to jobsites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, lift, push, pull, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis is required. Must be able to stand / walk 75% of the time and sit 25% of the time.
