Material Handler- Shipping

Essential Functions :

• Retrieve products from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
• Accurately read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be picked, packaged, and shipped.
• Accurately identifying items based on order specifications and ensuring the correct quantity is selected.
• Pack all materials into appropriate containers based on specific packing requirements.
• Ensure materials are packed effectively to avoid damage during transit.
• Coordinate the shipment process by preparing shipping labels, verifying addresses, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete.
• Collaborate with shipping carriers to facilitate the timely dispatch of packages.
• Conduct visual inspections of products during the picking and packing stages to identify any defects or discrepancies.
• Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels and communicate any shortages or overages, as needed.
• Work effectively as a team to achieve daily shipping goals.

This job operates in a warehouse / manufacturing setting where various tools and equipment are used. This role must be able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and exhibit good visual acuity to perform daily tasks.

This is a full-time position, on-site at the manufacturing facility. The weekly hours worked are 36 hours per week. There may be a need for overtime work.

This position must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
