Warehouse Team Leader
Works with the Production Supervisor to directly supervise and coordinate activities of workers within the warehouse areas. Trains employees in proper methods and procedures and ensures timely delivery to Assembly Lines.
Assist in proper staffing for all areas by sending employees home when necessary due to lack of work. Work with the Training & Inventory Coordinator to organize all training for workers (both existing and new hires) within the warehouse area.
Oversees the movement of material throughout the plant to assure inventory accuracy. Directs and coordinates warehouse staff to supply parts and items for Production team. Process work orders.
Follow work schedules and pull inventory to fill work orders. Move in / out stock within the IQMS system. Work with their Manager on developing improvements to streamline warehouse inventory quantities, along with improving layout of warehouse that provides an efficient part pulling system.
Orders and maintains all pallets and crates. Manage scrap reports, removal of inventory, and initiate the pickup of scrap. Maintain and organize the warehouse. Working in and implementing Lean Manufacturing. Performs misc. duties in the absence of the warehouse Supervisor.
Ability to use a forklift or hand truck. Can involve lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to lead small teams. Interpersonal skills, team working skills and good communication skills.
High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience in a Warehouse pick / pull environment required. Associates degree preferred.
