Overview – Responsible for Floor Call Mechanics and Shift Maintenance. Specifically, ensuring safe work practices, meeting quality specifications, following food safety / quality procedures, developing / compliance to standard work procedures, and adhering to production scheduling / staffing requirements. Cross-functional collaboration with Processing and Maintenance departments to provide active leadership in support of daily operations.

Schedule : 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 block schedule (6 : 00 PM – 6 : 30 AM)

Shift Differential : $1.50 per hour

Salary : $44.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Leadership – Full processing maintenance responsibility in the absence of Supervisor. Administer the Company Handbook and provide maintenance leadership and decision making with guidance from the Department Manager. Provide coaching, direction, and discipline as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of leadership in a manufacturing environment (food / pharma preferred).
• General knowledge of basic computer operation, including Microsoft Office applications; ability to enter data and parameters into equipment touch screens.
• Strong mechanical ability; essential for complex maintenance.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, food defense, BRC, and OSHA requirements preferred.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
• Conflict management and training skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; attention to detail, organization.

Summary – Responsible for Floor Call Mechanics and Shift Maintenance, working a 12-hour shift schedule on a 2-2-3 block. Overtime required for call-ins and scheduled vacations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Participates in plant maintenance program.

Communication and Maintenance Coordination

Physical Requirements – Must regularly lift or move up to 75 lbs; work in physically demanding situations (bending, reaching, standing, leaning, squatting); climb ladders and work on platforms at elevations up to 100 ft.

Working Environment – Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise environments, outside weather, chemicals used in cleaning / sanitation processes.
