A company is looking for a Supervisory Medical Records Technician (Coder).
Key Responsibilities
Selects and assigns codes from various coding systems including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS
Monitors regulatory and policy requirements affecting coded information and performs comprehensive reviews of electronic health records
Provides operational oversight of coding functions, develops performance standards, and conducts evaluations for subordinate staff
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required
One year of experience in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical coding
Associate's degree in health information technology or related field, or completion of an AHIMA approved coding program
Certification through AHIMA or AAPC is required
Ability to perform supervisory duties and advanced knowledge of coding classification systems
