Job Description Akima Systems Engineering (ASE), an Akima company, is looking to hire a Logistics Analyst II who will coordinate the elements of Integrated Logistics of US NAVY communication systems individual logistic support elements (maintenance planning; supply support; support & test equipment; manpower & personnel; training and training support; technical data; and design interface) to specify, develop, acquire, test field and support systems. Responsibilities :
- Coordinates the elements of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) with the system engineering effort.
- Identifies tradeoffs as required between elements to acquire a system that is affordable, operable, supportable, sustainable, transportable, and environmentally sound with the resources available.
- Develops logistics documentation in support of the maintenance philosophy and acquisition strategy.
- Development of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) certifications for the U.S. Navy surface fleet in support of the NIWC communications systems.
- Development of Provisioning Technical Documentation using the Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) to support Allowance Parts List (APL) Development and revisions.
- Generate Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) work files for planned and validated installations for the NIWC IC Voice Program, in support of the US Navy fleet.
- Development of Integrated Logisitics Support (ILS) Checklist for Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) systems to support U.S. Navy New Ships Construction.
- Resolve Fleet Coordinated Shipboard Allowance (COSAL) Technical Feed Back Reports (TFBRs).

Additional Qualifications / Responsibilities :
Qualifications Must be a US citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (active clearance preferred). BA degree with (2) years life cycle logistics experience is preferred or (6) years of defense life cycle logistics experience in lieu of degree. One or more Professional Logistics Certification- i.e. Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certified in Lifecycle (Acquisition) Logistics Level 1 or have equivalent training. Configuration Data Manager Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) certification. Provisioning Specialist (ICAPS) certification. (Resume to specify all equivalent training and certifications) Has a demonstrated knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, regulations, common naval support programs (e.g., CDMD-OA, ICAPS, NDE) and a thorough understanding of Life Cycle Support requirements. Ability to resolve complex problems involving Integrated Logistic Support. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite. ICAPS, Provisioning, NDE, PSMIS, TDMIS, Obsolescence, COSAL. Strong writing, editing, interpersonal and communication skills. Self-managed professional with a positive can-do attitude.City : Suffolk
