Salary : $72,680 - $100,368 annually (depending on experience).

Position Summary

More than a manager of behind-the-scenes logistics, the Executive Assistant in Seattle Central's President's Office functions as a true Chief of Staff. This highly visible, outward-facing role provides confidential and comprehensive support to the President and requires a seasoned Executive Assistant with demonstrated experience in strategic planning, budget management, partnership building, and other executive-level responsibilities that demand sound judgment, discretion, and expertise.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify strategic partnerships and support policy development and oversight, event management, and prepare presidential correspondence.

  • Event management, including coordination of major college-wide events such as President's Day, employee service awards, board of trustees meetings, district-wide meetings, President's Cabinet, executive team meetings, retreats, monthly town halls, and other ad-hoc meetings.
  • Prepare presidential correspondence, including drafting, editing, and sending high-level communications on behalf of the President's Office.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage operations of the President's Office : calendar management, room scheduling, and compiling and preparing reports; develop, monitor, and maintain financial records / files; create and maintain spreadsheets.

  • Assist in the preparation, compilation, and coordination of reports for financial oversight, purchasing, inventory, and personnel records for the President's Office.
  • Work Schedule

    Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8AM-4 : 30PM. Hybrid remote / on-site work.

    What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in fields related to Business Administration, Public Administration, Organization Management or any combination of relevant education, training and experience that indicate successful performance of the essential elements of the position.
  • Four (4) or more years of executive administrative experience or increasingly responsible administrative experience, secretarial functions, and professional support.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate proactively and effectively across diverse teams, stakeholders, and levels of leadership, both in writing and verbally.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships through active networking and engagement.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and drive alignment in cross-functional settings, with specific experience managing up, across, and laterally to move initiatives forward.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing culturally responsive and equitable service to underrepresented, marginalized and vulnerable populations.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational skills, including project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technology and ability to adapt to new systems including strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools and financial software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and carry out multiple assignments under pressure with short deadlines and / or frequent interruptions or distractions.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise effective discernment and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and progressing strategic opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to assertively manage competing priorities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
