Aleknagik Technology, LLC (ATL) is seeking a Server Administrator to provide the following :
JOB DEFINITION : The Server Administrator's role is to ensure the stable operation of the customer's cloud-based Azure Server infrastructure. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all communication links, applying patches, completing STIG checklists, and granting filefolder permissions for users.

WORK LOCATION : Personnel employed directly or indirectly on contract regardless of work site or company must follow changes in worksite directives.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES :
- Manage servers, backup servers, associated operating systems, and software. Manage security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, andUPSs.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Ensure network connectivity of all workstations.
- Administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Perform network design and capacity planning.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
- Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans fornetwork resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
- Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network componentinventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
- Establish service level agreements with end users.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Perform server and security audits.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics andreports.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
- Manage and / or provide guidance to junior members of the team
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS :
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and / or 5 years equivalent work experience.Certifications per DoD certification policy.Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including MS Windows.Extensive application support experience with Microsoft Office products.Working technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards.Azure Server Management knowledge.Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.Strong written and oral communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong customer service orientation.Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment for both remote and on-site team members.Self-motivated to learn, troubleshoot, and complete project.Cloud experience.Azure SQL Server experience.General experience with server class equipment.o Dell Servers

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent AND five (5) years of progressively complex information technology and / or database administration experience; OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience must include significant work with database management systems and associated utility software.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS : Required to work outside the traditional work schedule. May be called to work off-shift for on-call or emergency situations. Security+ certification is required prior to hire. A Computing Environment (CE) certification in Windows Server Operating System, VMware, Unix, or Azure SQL Server is required within 6 months of assignment to duties. Several training options are available to complete the CE requirements upon hire. Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to beginning work for confirmed full-time employment.
