Kingsland Blvd Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support our 6 -Doctor practice. Our FT assistants work Monday through Friday and alternate Saturdays with a day off during the week .

Skills Required :
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital practices and procedures
- Ability to gather medical histories and vitals
- Knowledge of in-house labs
- Experience in restraining canine and feline patients
- Experience with phlebotomy, catheter placement, and maintenance
- Preparation and execution of imagery for radiology studies
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Flexible prioritization
- Effective decision making
- Knowledge of medical equipment and terminology
- Interact with a variety of clients and employees in a professional, caring, compassionate, and tactful manner
- Knowledge of the generic and brand names, common uses, and side effects of drugs utilized in a veterinary practice

Assist veterinarians with appointmentsEducate clients about wellness and prevention, nutrition, and individual pet health needsProvide high-quality service to all clients while maintaining maximum productivityInitiate laboratory, radiology, and treatment proceduresPrepare and monitor patients before, during, and after anesthetic proceduresAdminister medications under the direction of a veterinarianAnticipate the veterinarian and team member needsFoster a positive working culture built on our valuesPerform dental prophylaxis and radiographsSupport a practice environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork and ensures the delivery of quality, compassionate, effective, and efficient health care to petsComply with all practice policies, quality assurance guidelines, and minimum standards of carePhysical Requirements :
