About This Position
Texas Mutual is the leading workers' compensation insurance provider in the state. We serve 80,000 business owners, 1.5 million workers and 7,000 agents. As a Customer Engagement Event Planner, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the customer experiences for these audiences. As an event planner, you will have opportunities to think creatively while earning trust through your desire to learn and be curious. Building relationships with a focus on customer experience is at the core of what you'll do. You must also be operationally strong managing many relationships, dependencies, and timelines across teams. You will play a critical role in the development, coordination, and execution of the customer engagement annual event plan, by managing key educational events and promotions, as well as gathering and reporting key insights from customers that help drive business priorities.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role, you can expect to :
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on pre-event planning and logistics such as event scope, format, and venue selection.
- Coordinate with venue staff to ensure event specifications are met while overseeing the delivery of contracted services by third parties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with venue locations.
- Work with requester to ensure event specifications are met and resolve any problems that arise.
- Manage correspondence with event attendees, including invitations, e-mail updates, confirmations, and phone calls. Manages the RSVP process.
- Oversee the set-up of all event rooms, scheduled breaks, food and beverage needs, audio / visual equipment, and ad-hoc requests / changes.
- Ensure that relevant meeting notes are recorded as needed and distributed after the meeting, accompanied by any additional pertinent information that should be shared.
- Operate within the event budget, reconciling payments and discrepancies, and ensuring all external parties are paid timely.
- Evaluate events aligned with the organization's objectives by considering factors such as cost, potential attendees, available speaking opportunities, and brand awareness.
- Distribute event evaluations and analyze results for trends and areas of improvement.
- Update and maintain an event tracking system.
It's required that you :
Have a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.Have 2-4 years of event planning experience or equivalent education, training, or experience.Are organized and detail-oriented to ensure the successful execution of planned events and other projects.Have experience with contract negotiations.Are familiar with AV equipment and virtual meeting applications and platforms.Can prepare and edit high caliber PowerPoint presentations.Have the ability to work flexible hours including some evenings / weekends and sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week. This position requires in-state travel up to 30% of the time.Possess the ability to work independently with little supervision with some latitude for independent judgement.It would be great if you :

The base pay range is based on the market evaluation of the job and may include pay for multiple levels. Individual base pay within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including experience, performance, education, and demonstration of skills and competencies required for each role. Your recruiter can discuss the full value of our total compensation package with you, including our generous bonus plans and flex-hybrid work model.
Base Pay Range : $36.12 - $44.61 Per Hour

Texas Mutual's flex-hybrid schedule allows you to bring your best self to work by working remotely and collaborating in the office based on business needs. All Texas Mutual employees are required to have Texas residency and travel to their designated office as needed.
