Accountant Position

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Elyria, Ohio, on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in financial management and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in accounting processes. Responsibilities :

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to support accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and schedule financial meetings with the Controller to discuss accounting workflows and updates.
• Assist in year-end financial processes, including preparing necessary documentation and reviewing reports.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and support decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies to maintain financial integrity.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
