As a Sr. Network Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network environments for enterprise clients. You will be a trusted advisor, collaborating with client teams and internal technology groups to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable network operations. The role provides hands-on experience with cutting-edge infrastructure technologies including LAN, WAN, Wireless, Voice, and SD-WAN. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement automation and orchestration solutions, and mentor junior engineers. Your work will directly impact client satisfaction and operational efficiency while keeping networks secure and optimized. This position blends technical expertise, strategic planning, and client-facing engagement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Accountabilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in network architecture, security, and protocols, including SD-WAN.
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN / WAN, wireless, and voice network solutions for enterprise clients.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues using tools such as packet captures, Wireshark, and network monitoring platforms.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define system requirements, provide technology guidance, and support network roadmaps.
- Implement, configure, and maintain network and security appliances in compliance with best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and promoting adherence to processes and standards.
- Function as an escalation path for Tier 1 and Tier 2 network teams, reviewing and approving changes, and maintaining knowledge base articles.
- Utilize automation and orchestration platforms to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and ensure business continuity of network services.
Requirements
Proven expertise in network security architecture, WAN strategies (MPLS, Metro-E, Dark Fiber), and SD-WAN deployments.Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Nexus, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba / HPE Networks, or similar enterprise networking equipment.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.Cybersecurity knowledge and experience in secure network operations highly desired.Familiarity with network analysis tools such as Solarwinds, Sciencelogic, or NetBrain.Experience with scripting and automation tools, such as Python and Ansible, is a plus.CCNA required; CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical solutions to clients and teams.Self-starter with accountability, flexibility, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.Benefits
